Well I suppose you all would like to know a little bit about me. My name is Maury and I am a student at Eastern Oregon University. I live here in La Grande with my girl friend Tiffany and this blog is about the adventures we are going on exploring our country. Along with my studies, mostly focusing on Paleontology and Archaeology (with a US History kicker), I am also a photographer with Amarok Photography. I have always loved photography, the outdoors and exploring, lucky for me they all tend to go hand in hand fairly well. I am also a certified detection dog handler with a group called Packleader focusing mostly in environmental research.
For most of my life I lived in the Portland Oregon area though a couple years ago I decided to go back to school and moved out to the east side of the state. Since then my stomping ground has been the mountains and when I can manage the John Day Fossil Beds, a truly beautiful location.
